   The Heavens

 

If I feel less favored by the heavens,
I will respond by concentrating
on the cultivation of my virtue.  

If the heavens seem to tax me,
I will replenish myself
through relaxation.  

If the heavens bring me suffering,
I will persevere
exerting the Way.  

How on earth can I be troubled by the heavens?
